Grandpa and Grandma made him a puzzle board!

Grandma is reading a 'Daddy and I' book that I made James, to read to him while daddy is gone.

Mr. Sir's Early Birthday

Mr. Sir enlisted in the Air Force. He is now an Airman. He leaves for basic training in April and will be gone for his birthday in May.

Me, being the awesome wife that I am decided to celebrate his birthday a little early. It consisted of one of his favorite (and time consuming) meals. It is called a Pasty (pass-tea). It consists of ground hamburger, potatoes and onions in a pie crust type shell and baked. Each shell is hand done and they are individualized so each person gets their own. So, I told him I was going to go 'cut fabric' at my mother-in-law's. Instead of 'cutting fabric' I got the the Pasty's all ready to go and suprised him the next day. He loved it.

I also sent him on a scavenger hunt. I bought him a 12 pack of beer along with a 4 pack of Guinness (his favorite). I made him wait outside while I planted the clues. I wanted to celebrate his birthday as early as I could because I knew I wanted to get him beer and wanted to give him plenty of time to enjoy it before he leaves for basic.

The first clue sent him to James's book box where there was a beer waiting for him, it told him to crack it open for the hunt.

One of the clues was
#3
In the summer you like fishing,
but sometimes trout are missing,
So please don't pout,
about the Lost Trout
hiding in the shower yet,
waiting to get wet.

There was also,

Katy Perry is on her way
for a Three Way
but you better hide your Star Wars books,
or you will get some very weird looks.

I won't go over all the clues, but there was a beer called "Lost Trout" in the shower. "Sugar Shack" in the bed. "Three Way" by his Star Wars books and so on. It finally ended in the fridge with the Guinness. He had a lot of fun with the hunt.

I still need to make him a chocolate cake (it is required for a birthday). But that can come later.

Birthday Wishes

I had a jam packed weekend which included a great birthday! Too bad I had to round it out with a virus, sleeping on the bathroom floor the next day. Now that I am feeling much better, I thought that I could give a birthday update.

My day started with donning my St. Patricks day skirt that I made.

I bought this doily from an antique store located across the street from my apartment. I upcycled part of a green celtic patterned dress, the doily, and an old pair of jeans to create a new skirt for my birthday and a St. Patrick's day party.

So after dressing in my new skirt, I turned on the espresso machine and mixed up myself a fresh batch of chocolate syrup to make myself a morning mocha. James did NOT like momma not paying attention to him while she made her coffee, so he threw a little tantrum.

And then played in the cupboards.

After birthday cake at the in-laws. Mr. Sir and I drove to my sister's house for the annual St. Patrick's day party. Before going out to the party I read a bedtime story to my little superhero's Tim, Tom and Bug. Otherwise known as Superhero Sir, Superhero Ma'am, and Batman.

After the bedtime story we made our way out to the party. My sisters and husband were sure to see to it that I celebrated well. It was nice to see my sisters, it's not often we three get together with our other halves all at the same time.

It was a great day. Too bad by 1:00 A.M. the next night I had come down with a virus. The virus at least allowed me the chance to get plenty of sleep and snuggles with James. Happy Birthday to me.

Mr. Sir's Birthday

So I am not the pro at decorating cakes. Haven't had much practice. That being said I decided to make and decorate a cake for Mr. Sir. Had  to fit 23 candles on it too. It was darn tasty, especially with ice cream and warm chocolate sauce to make it gooey.

Take a deeep breath now and blow it out!

My 19th Birthday

So last week I had my 19th Birthday. The day before my birthday my boyfriend, and I visited his parents home. Surprise, surprise, his mom had baked me a chocolate cake! It was so sweet of her, I wasn't really expecting it. On my birthday I spent the whole day driving up to Winnipeg in Canada and just roaming around the city with my boyfriend. It was a blast. We walked up and down the Red River and visited the Saint Boniface Museum. All in all it was an awesome day.
